My first full restaurant post, and I would like to start as I mean to go on. So Ladies and Gentlemen, Foodies and Foodettes, drum roll please… I give you The Lobster Pot Nottingham. Nestled up the end of Mansfield road in Nottingham, The Lobster Pot is well worth the short walk from the city centre. Offering a full menu of our oceans delights, at prices that gives everyone the opportunity to visit. The Lobster Pot takes the ostentatious tradition of lobster and turns it on its head. The friendly, relaxed feel of the little restaurant instead provokes feelings of comfort whilst you enjoy luxurious seafood.

I have now visited the Lobster Pot twice, and I must say been treated to some of the best customer service both visits. Nothing is too much for staff, or for the manager, who has taken the running of the restaurant over from his father. An average life span of just 2 year, Mansfield road has a high turnover of new traders, however The Lobster Pot has been a successful family run business for 25 years. If that doesn’t fill you with confidence, I don’t know what will.

And of course you cannot visit the Lobster Pot without trying the star of the show himself. I had never tried Lobster untill visiting this restaurant, partly because it’s not on that many menus and more likely because when it was on menus I couldn’t afford it.  The Lobster Pot took away both those issues, giving me the chance to finally enjoy it.

Open to ideas, and ready to show case there fabulous seafood delights, in July I teamed up with The Lobster Pot to run a competition from my Instagram account giving one lucky follower the chance to win the full table of food in the picture below. With over 200 likes, and 98 names added to the comments to enter, its safe to say the competition went swimmingly… (Do you like what I did there?)
